1. Maintain Daily Logs

4. Monitor Refrigerant Leaks

The cooling capabilities of your chiller may depend heavily on the amount of refrigerant circulating throughout its compressor. Once valve stems vibrate loosely, it may eventually result in refrigerant leaks. As refrigerant leaks, it can easily impact your chiller’s cooling capacity. Maintaining a proper level of refrigerant inside your chiller can ensure that it will perform optimally for a long time. 

5. Inspect Motors

Tons of starting mechanisms must be checked and calibrated on your industrial chiller. Some of them include the sensor, microprocessor control, electrical connections, wiring, and switchgear. Even the drive motor must be checked to keep your industrial chiller functional and operational.

6. Install Variable Speed Drives

One more thing you can do to keep your industrial chiller is to install variable speed drives. What makes variable speed drives recommended for your industrial chiller is they can effectively cut the amounts of electricity needed to keep it functional. They vary the motor speed to effectively match the motor efficiency to load, cutting energy waste significantly.
